A friendly residential community, Surprise was ranked as third fastest growing city in the nation in Forbes magazine. It sits in close proximity to Sun City, El Mirage and Phoenix. Mountain Gate is within easy reach of Highway 60, the major artery between Phoenix and Wickenburg and Loop 303 Freeway. The City has invested heavily in this sporting venue, thereby making its mark as one of Arizona’s newest tourist destinations. The crown jewel of the campus, which also houses a substantial Aquatic Center, is the Major League Spring Training Stadium. Built just six years ago, its 10,500 seats serve as off-season home to the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers, drawing both fans and the associated revenue. A new premiere Tennis & Racquet complex is also part of the City’s extensive nod to sports, and golf courses abound in the Surprise area.
